Innovation Project

The Australian Flexible Learning Framework funds a range of e-learning oportunities. The framework also provides a rich source of flexible learning informaiton(www.flexiblelearning.net.au). At Skills Strategies we have been reasonably successful in winning e-learning tenders through the framework. The funding has provided an opportunity to extend e-learning oportunites for a range of clients. We have recently won an Innovation tender to further develop resources for the Retail Sector both in Management training and new entry learners. This will build on the Industry Engagement project of 2009. Once again Wayne Spencer from Retail Traders of WA is our industry partner for the venture.

If you are a retailer and would like to know more about e-learning or e-business please contact steve@skillstrategies.net

A growing concern

Skills Strategies International now has four arms to its operation:
Management Training
Traineeships
Education support services
e-learning and e-business development.

All of these are delivered using our philosophy that it is not the qualification but the learning that is important. If we are not contributing to your business bottom line or your career development......something is wrong!

While these may appear separate there are actually many overlaps. The management training is often utilising the Productivity Places Program existing worker traineeships. Many managers see the advantages of implementing traineeships through there business. Often managers are intersted in expanding the market through the utilisation of e-business strategies, especially the very popular social media area.

We have currently added the new Training and Assessment qualification from the Training and Education Training Package and have new face to face workshops as well as online workshops and RPL courses.

We have also added the Certificate IV Business for existing workers and our Certificate III trainees who are keen to continue their skill development to higher levels.

A very exciting development is the negotiation of articulation arrangements for Certificate IV and Diploma students into Curtin University.

Social Media

One thing that is painfully obvious from our blog at the moment is that if you are going to use social media......it may be free...but it takes time to keep it updated!!! In the busy multitasking world of any small business even blogs need to be kept updated.
